TruDate’s Dating Safety Awareness Notification
Nothing is more important to us at MyTruDate than your safety, especially while dating. Below is a list of safety measures reasonably designed to increase your awareness of safer online dating practices, as well as resources for reporting crimes committed by any MyTruDate member. We urge all of our users to follow the measures set forth in this Dating Safety Awareness notification (“Dating Safety Tips”) for their safety and protection.
Please be advised that even though every member of MyTruDate has passed our rigorous criminal background check and identity verification screening, these measures alone do not protect any person from the possibility of encountering dangerous people online. For your added safety and peace of mind, we urge all users to conduct their own research using social media and online search engines etc. to obtain additional background information about a person before meeting someone new for the first time.
Online Dating Safety Awareness Advisory
Getting to know an individual through an online dating service may be risky and all users should follow safety precautions when sharing information or meeting in person. As such we urge and advise all users of this Platform to heed the following advisory warnings:
- Engaging in sexual conduct without the other person’s consent is a criminal act and subject to prosecution.
- There is no substitute for acting with caution when communicating with any stranger who wants to meet you.
- An individual may provide false information in their dating profile.
- All users should avoid sharing your last name, e-mail address, home address, phone number, place of work, social security number, details of your daily routine, personal health, medical, or any other identifying information in your dating profile or initial e-mail messages, chat messages, or other communications.
Protecting Yourself from Financial Crimes
- Never send money or provide any financial information to someone you meet on an online dating service, especially by wire transfer, even if the individual claims to be experiencing an emergency.
- Protect Your Personal Information – Avoid sharing personal details such as address, phone number, personal routine or family information.
- Stop communicating with an individual who pressures you for personal or financial information or attempts to trick you into revealing your personal or financial information.
- Immediately report any MyTruDate member who attempts to trick you into revealing your personal or financial information (see Reporting procedures below)

Reporting Unsafe Conduct, Crimes or other Misconduct
First and foremost, if you feel threatened or in immediate danger, call 911 immediately.
Reporting criminal activity by another MyTruDate member may help prevent a perpetrator of a rape, assault, or financial crime from hurting or continuing to hurt others, and may be necessary for MyTruDate to take responsive action against the MyTruDate member who perpetrated the crime.
If you are the victim or survivor of sexual or intimate partner violence, any other physical violence, or a financial crime inflicted by someone you met on the MyTruDate platform, you should report the incident to MyTruDate and to law enforcement.
Even if you are not the victim of a crime, be sure to block and report to MyTruDate any member whose behavior is suspicious, offensive, harassing, threatening, fraudulent, or involves a request for money or an attempt to sell a product or service.
